I have a photo which I have worked on in Photoshop. I now want to email it to a relation. I save it as a Jpeg image. When I insert it into an email and send it, it opens up in Photoshop.
How can I just send it as a photo, on it`s own?
Help would be appreciated.
David

If you have saved it as a JPEG then it is possible for them to open it in a variety of ways. It will only open in Photoshop for them if they have chosen the image editor as their choice for opening images. It will also open using just XP or similiar operating system, it wil open in Paint etc....

Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S to save for the web - normally anything around 60% is ok for compression, but it's always a trade off for file size VS. image quality.

Right. Well I emailed it to myself to check. If I email to a friend (who hasn`t got Photoshop) he`ll be able to open it anyway?
Cheers,
David

Yes, you do not need PS to open JPEG's.

No such thing as a dumb question that is seeking knowledge. No worries, I am sure to be stumped soon.
