I just got photoshop and I am fairly new to the program. I wanted some feedback on my first wallpaper design. I was playing with photoshop and made this in a couple of hours. I know the Picture are cropped poorly but I was using my laptop so it was very difficult to be accurate.

I agree about the cropping and know how difficult working with a laptop can be.
Other than that, looks pretty good. Keep it up.

It looks good .... and yes working on a laptop is tough. One thing I do in some of my compositions to avoid the nasty look of 'bad' cropping is to add a outer glow.
I have also in the past selected the outer 3 or 4 pixels of an image and used gaussian blur to 'smooth' out the crop.
however, if you try cropping with a DARK background, I have been told that sometimes helps as well.

Hey hge876,
Welcome to PhotoshopForums
Great effort for your first Photoshop project. You can soften the bruce lee image with refine edge, it's a little trick I use quite often especially when I'm in a hurry. It's only available though in some of the most recent versions of Photoshop.
