Hey guys, so I came up with this design.

I think it's a pretty okay effort for a first time at this kind of 'style', but anyway, I was looking for some comments on some things I can work on, or different ways to do things etc.

Welcome aboard, Hackles. :) It certainly looks interesting. What sort of thing were you going for? What was the aim?

Thanks,

Patrick

Well I was trying to make the effect of an explosion in between the moon and earth, but I didn't really know much about how I could could do it well.

Ah, cool. That sounds like it'd be pleasant. Big Grin hehe. One thing I like about the image is if you stare at the center, between the two planets... you can almost see things. Like a skull or a face, etc.

Great concept.
Work towards making the physical side of the image more realistic, such as the "flames", they're a little static and bulky instead of explosive and "whippy".

With a bit more work you've got quite the interesting piece on your hands, good work.

Edit: Oh and take that blueish-sharpish-random thingy in the middle of the image to the wall at the back of your house and put a gun to its head.
