cs3 Is there a way to create partial circles? I have looked at the Tools and can't find anything there and help section is useless. Any ideas? javascript:emoticon('Confused')

There are no tools that create a "partial" circle. What I would do is create a circle selection using the elliptical marquee tool. Fill it with whatever color. Then use a different selection tool, rectangular marquee or pen tool to make a selection of what I don't want of the circle and delete that part. Make sense?

Hope it helps,
Dave

A more advanced method which uses vector shapes:

1. Draw the circle with the Ellipse Tool, set to "Shape layers" in the Options bar.
2. Select the Direct Selection tool in the Tools Panel.
3. Click on the outline of the circle. The path should appear along with its four points with Bezier curves.
4. Click directly on one of the points.
5. Press the Delete key. You end of with a half-circle.

You can also add points with the Pen tool, and adjust them with the Direct Selection tool, after step 3.
