Nice article.
I'd say-
Mario (the beginning of my SNES days)
Dizzy (from my ZX spectrum days, and my introduction as a kid to the world of computers/games)
Ken (Street fighter II)
Toad (Super Mario Kart)
As you can see, my choices are influenced heavily by the SNES, sadly I haven't really been into gaming since then!
