Hi
I cannot get the tapered brush effect when I check the Shape Dynamics box. Usually it automatically tapers the brush, but it just is staying round.
Very frustrating!!!
Have tried re-installing, with no luck.
I am using CS4 64bit
Anyone have a solution PLEASE!!

Check these settings.

Thanks guys
I finally got it sorted out I think?...though really it was a fluke in the end.
I unchecked and then re checked the Enable open GL Drawing option in Preferences. This shouldn't make any difference though it is working now
most of the time!!! Doesn't make sense?
The settings you guys mentioned "Fade" is not what I was looking for. It is simply when you check the Shape Dynamics box it should automatically taper both ends of the selected brush to a sharp point.
Thanks for your help. |

No it shoudln't. It starts as a plain long unaltered brush and then you edit it |

I have exactly the same problem on 64 bit CS4 as well - the pen sensitivity is not working in shape dynamics - I have tried many variations on your solution and it has not helped at all - yet the shape dynamics still workin Photoshop 7 for me - so it is an issue with the program and not the settings .
Can anyone advise if this is a known bug and if there is a reliable way to fix it? |

For anyone else that encounters this problem and can't figure it out I would just like to share the solution - I already had the lastest version of Photo shop CS4 installed but I have now downloaded the latest drivers for my WACOM as well and this has now fixed the issue - so keep your drivers up to date and you should be good. |
