|

I want to create a custom shape, a gradient-filled rectangle with a 2-pixel dark blue border... I can see that the "Custom SHapes Tool" that appears when you select the Pen Tool has rectangles, and that if you change colors on the color palette picker that you can change the colors, but I can't see how one selects navy blue for the border and a custom GRADIENT for the fill... How can I do this and save the shape as a reusable template? I checked out the Help files but I must be missing something.
Thanks!! |

ok how about you get the lasso tool, and draw your shape, hold shift for straight lines and angles, and fill with your navy blue colour. the contract by 2 pixels and then draw your gradient?
is this what you wanted?

Ctrl click the layer and select the shape then make a new layer and use stroke to make the border. Then use layer styles to make it look like you want. _________________ RPG Gaming Community

am I missing something..??
Couldn't this be done by giving a rectangle a 1px blue stroke and gradiant overlay in blending options..???
I am missing something aren't I..??!! _________________ Providing small business with high quality affordable websites:

The way i see it all three solutions should do the trick. I just like using styles cause its easier to make changes to picture afterwards.
I spend more time in the creation fase this way but i gain that time when i get the feedback from my customer about what they want changed. _________________ RPG Gaming Community
