Logo Design

I am a professional photographer in Utah. I sometimes donate to companies, schools, non profit orgs . . . and was asked the other day for a logo to place on a pamphlet that a youth group is using to thank their sponsors and/or donators.

I've always just used my name in a nice font, and have never made a logo. I feel my work should speak for itself.

I've tried, and tried, and tried to come up with something, and have failed miserably.

My business name is Two Color Photography. The name stemmed from my first and last name being colors (Amber and Rust). That is the only significance in my company name. I specialize in newborn and infant portriature, but provide services in all aspects of photography.

I have samples of work on my web site if that helps with what I am about.

The only thing I have to offer for this logo are my services! If you're ever in Utah, I'll do a free portrait session, no expiration date! Eventually doesn't everyone travel to Utah?????

Hi Amber,
as it happens I put together a logo for another photographer named Amber here at Photoshop Forums that she never used etc... I could let you look at it and see what you think.
if you like it or have a slightly better idea for it, you can tell me and we'll work it out.

yeah, I'm liking it. So, since my business name is actually Two Color Photography, can we slip a fancy Two or 2 in the circle. and Color Photography somewhere along the bottom or side. Then I really like the name and the camera at the bottom, maybe we could do a "by Amber Rust" or something along those lines . . .

What do you think (remember, I am NOT a logo designer, so be straight with me about whether something will or will NOT work)

let me work on it a bit and see what I get done for you ... I like your thoughts on a fancy sort of 2 instead of the A ..... let me find a 2 that works and then we'll go from there

Can we make the 2 go clear to the edges of the blue?

My husband thought is that he didn't associate the word Color with the number 2. Is there a way to put it in the circle somehow? Maybe behind or infront of the 2?

The color is perfect, I love the slight gradient!

I'm really liking this!

I hope I'm not intruding, but I have a suggestion.

What if the circle with the 2 in it was shrunk to a little smaller size and placed on the same line as "color photography". That way, it would be more clear that the name is "2 Color Photography". And it would give the logo an overall slimmer appearance. (more rectangular than square-ish)

Just a thought.
