|

When working with lots of layers it’s not unusual to want to see one layer at a time. Sometimes it’s impossible to work with or modify a layer’s contents accurately if other layers (either in the foreground or background) are getting in the way. Well here’s a trick to quickly switch between viewing all the layers in a composition, to just one, and then back again-
Start off with a layered composition, choose the one you want to see independent of the rest, and then ALT (on the PC) or OPTION (on the Mac) click it to leave it visible but turn the rest off. When you’re done, simply ALT (on the PC) or OPTION (on the Mac) click it again to return to the entire composition.
I’ve been using this trick for many years, and can honestly say it comes in extremely useful on many occasions when working with Photoshop layers.
Good luck! _________________ Matt
