Hello everyone, I'm kind of new to photoshop. I just had a quick question...
A friend sent me a picture from a digital camera earlier but edited it with Microsoft Paint and used the Airbrush tool to cover part of the picture then sent me the airbrush covered pic. Is there a tool in photoshop or a way that I can erase or remove the airbrush so I can see the original picture?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |

well the quedstion is very good, when you save it, it saves over the old one which means you can't recover it HOWEVER in photoshop you can edit it so you CAN recover it in a certain way called the "clone stamp tool" depending on how big the area is and waht you want to recover it should be able to do minimal stuff very nicely _________________ http://i337m1k3.deviantart.com for my ART Profile. |

Oh I see.. well. The picture is of a group of people kind of and there are a few faces sprayed out. I would say the area is about as big as a quarter on my 1280x1024 19" LCD. Do you think the original faces could be seen after the clone tool is used? |

no, the clone tool is good for like if you sprayed over part of a wall and basically "coppied and pasted the wall until they conneted, except in a better cleaner way" so in other words you cant recover something but merely copy it over to make it look slike it was nevery missing however if nothign is there, than nothing can come otu of it _________________ http://i337m1k3.deviantart.com for my ART Profile. |

hmm... well, I don't have the picture yet, but the only way this girl will send it to me is if she can cover up the other faces in the picture.. is there anything that I could tell her to do in paint to the picture that would cover it up but temporarily so I could restore it? |

ah, I see. Hmm, there has to be a way to have her cover it and for me to uncover it. Any ideas on a way that is temporary? |

The only way it would be possible is if she sent you a layered PSD (original photoshop file format). The corrections would have to be on a seperate layer.
In short though, it is not possible. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
