Hey everyone

I've suddenly come across a problem where, whenever i create a new image, a large chunk of colours are missing. This means that whenever I paste an image, the majority of the picture becomes black and also in the colour pallette, most of the colours are black also.

I've tried changing colour modes and tried using colour management (always normally have it off) to no avail, so any ideas?

I've uploaded the screenshot of photoshop and you can see it here. Have a look at the image in Irfanview (upermost left) in comparison to that in Photoshop (to the right corner of the one in Irfanview). Also, look at the palette; that's in RGB mode yet lots of colours are missing.

I've tried a reinstall to no avail, I'm really stumped!

Does this only happen when you paste in the image, or can you open things fine?

Hey again

It happens when I create a new image or paste. Opening a PDS saved previosly is fine but the palette is still mostly black.

I've tried a fresh reinstall to no avail - any way to totally remove any settings left over after an uninstall?
