How do you make the silver edge on the bottom left? I can't figure out how to get the curves right.

the pen tool would be the best bet, if not try selecting it with the rectangular marque tool and fill with black or whatever and then go select->modify->smooth somewhere between 10 and 20 pixels |

or
Use a rounded rectangle from the shapes palette.
or
Make a new layer and create a rectangle selection, fill it with desired colour (50% grey usually). Flick to your channels tab and you will see a new channel has been created, blur the rectangle on the new channel layer (make sure you have deselected the rectangle first) with a gaussian blur (5-50 depending on size). Then use the levels command (Ctrl+L), bring the two outer sliders of the histogram towards the centre slider. Witness the result on the blurred rectangle. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
