I have recently found the joy of Photoshop LOL and in my making-of-pictures I was halted Evil , so I searched out these forums Confused and thought here was the place to ask...
-How do I draw a straight line (without having to have a steady hand)
-How do I open a different image in a new layer?
Thanks

You can do a straight line in multiple ways:
-Press and hold shift while clicking with your brush or pencil.
-Select your pen tool and make a line then right click on it and stroke it.
-For horizontal or vertical line you can use the grid or rulers.
...

For opening an image in another layer: just copy it to your clipboard and simply paste it on where you want it. PS will create a new layer with the image on it for you.
