I'm new to Photoshop and was wondering if anyone can tell me how these effects are achieved.

Thanks for any help

It looks like several pictures placed on top of each other and then flattened together, with the newest picture (the one where the man is nearest to the bottom of the picture) on top and the one where he's at the top of the picture on the bottom.

notice the "snow" in his first action, where he starts the jump? I'm thinking he used the cloud option, or he painted some gray and smudged it. I'm only guessing that because the snow is a lot grayer in color than any snow in the picture.
