Hi, I have a JPEG photo I want to use as the centerpiece for my homepage. The photo is too large however (1700 x 600 pixels) so I want to reduce the size to about 500 x 175 pixels. The problem I'm having is that when I go to Image -> image size and try to reduce the size with the resample box checked, I still lose a significant amount of resolution to the point where it's not worth putting the photo on my homepage. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can reduce the size without losing much resolution? Thanks. |

Can you create a new canvas with a high res at the size you need, then copy paste the pic?
