I would like to create an image not exactly like the one below but in that general area. Did the person who uses this image create it with a "custom line tool" plug in? Or do you need to start from scratch? If scratch is where I need to start...then can some one please give me some pointers? I am aware of the line tool, rectangle tool, things like that to start with, but is there an easier way?
Thanks for the help peeps! Big Grin

I'm a back to basics guy, I first sketch what I want, sometimes you can find prety funky lines within your house, look at your couch, cortains bed spread etc you'll find that type of pattern at times.

Well I draw in a piece of paper, than I scan it.
Then using the Pen Tool, I start tracing every piece in seperate layers.
I then change the traced lines to specific brushes styles.
This is much much easier if you use Illustrator. (in my case)

Sounds like a good technique. I think I'll give it a shot. The cool thing about that is that you don't need to be great at drawing. Just as long as you get the idea on paper good enough so that you can pen it up.
