Hi
How do I create corners that are curved after having used the shape selection?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks |

If you use a selection.
Create a new channel in RGB and then gaussian blur it, use levels to round the corners. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

You can also use the rounded rectangle tool. The radius box at the top will allow you to control how rounded you want the corners. Then if you want a selection from that ctrl + click your shape layer. _________________ Best Regards,

Hi, where can I find the rounded rectangular tool? There is only the rectangular, elliptical, single row/column marquee tool.
I'm using Photoshop CS btw.
Thanks |

Oh I see now. I wasn't saying there is a rounded rectangle selector tool, but there is a rounded rectangle shape. Once you make the shape though, you can hold ctrl and click the shape layer and it will provide you with a nicely rounded rectangle selection. Primitive I guess, but it does the job. _________________ Best Regards,

You can also use the pen tool to create rounded corners with paths, then turn the path into a selection.
Here is an excellent tutorial for you if you do not know how to use the pen tool in Photoshop. This tutorial was done by a photoshop master Bert Monroy.

Have fun and practice, practice, practice with the pen tool to get good with it. That is what photoshop experts say. |
