It's all about the texture, google some textures and use them in your image. You can also paint or make some funky lines in a piece of paper and then scan them.
The possibilities are endless |

Thanks for your help, but I was asking about the coloring used in these icons. I want to achieve that crisp and grungy, yet so natural coloring effect.
I know that the texture helps to reach the desired result but it's not only the texture. |
