This could be happening for a ton of reasons. We'll try this solution first.
Are you working with a CMYK or RGB document? If you're working with web or computer graphics you should be using RGB. If you're making print graphics you should be using CMYK. (RGB= Red Green Blue CMYK= Cyan Magenta Yellow Black) If you are working with print, a slight color change shouldn't matter too much. You should be testing and working with the settings of your printer to make sure you get the desired colors. I'm guessing however that you're working with web graphics, so make sure you are working with an RGB document. To change the documents color profile go to Image - Mode - And select RGB Color.
Hope that helped, let us know either way.

Thanks for the speedy reply.
Yes, the file i'm working on is for the web and the mode i have been using is RGB - so what now? i don't think i've come across this with earlier versions it has only begun with my installation of CS.

It may be your color settings. Go to Edit - Color Settings and take a screenshot. Post the screenshot in here or a link to it. Is this problem only happening with that color or does it throw all the web colors off a bit? _________________ Best Regards,

have you tried using the RGB colour picker instead of the hue, sat, bright that you currently have selected? |
