I want to round the corners of photo's and put them on my website. They are only like 70k in jpeg format however if I do gif 128 or png in photoshop CS they end up at around 250k which is way to large. I have seen nice looking, small size transparent gif images(like the one attached) on the web however I can not figure out how to do it. Any help or suggestions would be great.[/code]

If you make the background purple (as an example), you can make the purple transparent when saving for web. See help in PS.
Personally I would use jpeg but make sure the jpeg backgound is the same color as the web background...

I've attached a copy of the help page in PS GIF transparency...I also made the white background transparent with SAVE AS, clicking the white color and pressing the transparent button.

Looks good however I am still having troubles keeping a decent image quality and a small size. I am saving it as 128bit gif, adapted, black matte with 50% for amount. Still the jpeg is under 30k and the gif is about 95k. Is this common or is there a better way to save this file?
