I want to take a picture with myself in the same room, as if I had a twin.

How do I edit this in photoshop cs2?

I plan on a delayed shutter, and having a mirror reflect a different image of myself.

Help greatly appreciated!

Don't bother with any mirors or fiddly aparatus. Just take one photo of you in one spot, then another of you in another spot. Use photoshop to put he two together.

how to do it in photoshop:
open both photos, shift-drag one onot the other. If the photos were taken on a tripod witht he same exposrure, they shoudl match exctly. On the top layer, erase the area where the other you is ont he bottom layer. Easy as pie, and very quick.

A few notes on photographing htis:
-be sure your haow doesn't fall across your other self. if it doesn, you will ahve to cast a shadow shadow uing some object or person, or fake it in photoshop.
-for your first try, make sure you're not really interacting with your surroundings. if you were sitting on the couch, the cushion would be moved, and you would have to allow for this when you work in photoshop. it really is very easy to work around, but just do one try at it first without this problem.

-good luck

You could also use a layer mask to show whats on the lower layer. Half the secrets in getting the photos right in the first place, the camera must be on a tripod (or at least not move) and it helps to use manual exposure and white ballance to keep things the same between shots. heres a very quick and dirty version of this really handsome male model (yes ok it is me, now stop laughing!) but you get the idea, I just showed the right hand side (the bottom layer) with a layer mask. I have seen one somewhere where the photographer had about 8 of the same person waiting to use a phone box, it was very neatly done, when I get some time, I'm going to do something similar myself. Wayne
