|
|
Crew...
Trying to move band members closer together (horizontally) in a .psd project [to create a tighter (more narrow) band photo for myspace]...but each person is made up of a few different layers.
How do I group layers together, so that they can be moved (slid to the left) as one uniform image...all at the same time?
Thanks,
Sonic Max

This is a very simple.

All you need to do is, in the layers pallette, ctrl+click on all of the layers that make up on band member, then while those are still highlighted, right click on one of them (any one), and click 'Link Layers"

Then you can move them uniform style easily and with precision.

Tell me if this helped. Thanks

Nope
All that does is select the first layer I control click. None of the others can be highlighted simultaneously.
Sorry.

BTW - Might be worth mentioning that I'm running Photoshop6. Maybe it can't be done that way in 6?

Highlight one layer then (a little brush head appears in a box)
then simply click that empty box on the layers you want to link.
(a little link will appear in the boxes as you click them)
Once you have them liked then you can go to the move tool and they will all move together.

Ya, that makes sense.
I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 (9) so things are a lot different in 6 from 9.

You can also highlight them all and press crtl-g this will combine them into a grouped folder
