Here's a tip I thought some of you might find handy.
You can quickly change the view you have in Photoshop, for example hold down shift and hit the TAB key to hide the palettes and give you a bit more room to work.
If you just hit the TAB key it hides the palettes and the toolbars.
Then, after you have hit TAB, hit the F key twice. That changes to a black background with just the image, great to see how it looks without any distractions.
Another thing you can do is customize your palettes. If you only use a few, you can group those together on one palette and hide the rest. Then, if you go to window/workspace/save workspace, you can save that layout with your name and use it every time you're in Photoshop.
If you want them to open with Photoshop, remember to go to preferences/general and tick the save palette location box. Then, when you open PS, there is your custom palette.
Hope you find this useful.

To be honest it's only the shift and tab I really use (to hide the palettes) I usually leave the others alone, although I have set up a custop palette set with the palettes I use all the time, I almost never use the swatches or styles palettes.
