See this picture of an AT-ST from Star wars? Well, im not interested in the actual net design of the sheet, but rather the brown dirt looking edges that it has mainly on the head part. The effect is sort of a transparent brown burnt effect made to look like mud, i have emailed the author but i stil have no reply on how he did this affect and so i would appriciate it if someone could put me out of my misery and please answer my question on how to get a similar effect. Thanks! :I
Oh yeah, i have CS2.

Or you could try adding a new layer, change the blend mode to colour, then with a very low opacity soft brush just paint on the brown colour. Wayne

Hmm... @ Lasa
It couldnt be the burn tool, the effects are almost unachievable using it, ive been trying for a long time now using the burn tool, i have found the 'high pass' and 'plastic wrap' option to give similar effects, but what swanseamale says seems intriuiging, ill have to try it but i dont really think that from that short description that it will work,.

I tried a little test run to see...looks fairly close to me?
Burn tool set to midtones at 22%
Just an idea.

I used a difffernt brush, and a few other settings, thanks lasa!!!
