extracting an image from its orignal surroundings and placing it into an artifical envirnoment is very hard,.. some times complex things like hair often tease. is there an easy way to solve this?? _________________ Awesome Photoshop tutorials

One way to go is alpha channels, simply put you use one of the existing channels (the most contrast with the background) to make a new channel, that becomes the basis for a mask. Sometimes the extract tool will do a decent job, it depends on the image. Wayne |

If you really want to get the stray hairs and everything, dont be opposed to actualy redrawing the hair. keep the original layer so you know where they go and what colors they are. this is a professional tip, and will give great results. |
