i am creating a simple logo for the top banner of my site, now the banner is simple although i am having issues with putting an image inside a shape

I have created a circle on its own layer and i want to grab all of the image inside of the circle itself and move that over to my main project. can anyone help out?

ohhh and this is PS CS2

thanks in advance,

If I understand you right...One way is to simply use the magic wand and click inside the circle to select the inner space. Then activate the picture layer, invert the selection and press delete.

i will give this a try, what i want to do is keep the boarder of the circle on the logo and drop the image inside it, the other problem is the circle copied from 1 pic to the other is then too small to get all of the image i want

using the magic wand tool is not effective here, the image is pritty broken up and multicolor
