Hello all,
I've got this problem with Photoshop. Some of the tools, e.g. paintbrush, clone, just don't work. Using alt click to select the colour/area works but the tool just doesn't work on the image. Any ideas?
Many, many thanks.
John.

Are sure you don't have something selected elsewhere...on the image..
Press : Ctrl+D
It will deselect any active selection.

You probably know this but you can only paint/clone etc. within the selections not out side them.

Hope this helps,
Lasa

For the paintbrush, make sure the foreground color is not the same color as the canvas..

Make sure your mode at the top is normal, and the opacity and flow are 100%..

As Lasa is prone to suggest, dump your preferences file. And good advice at that.

edit: I can't believe my bodycount is so feeble here. Gotta pitch in a little more! Red Face
