Hey guys help me out a little here, i have to design a card size of half regilar printing paper, 8x11 or what ever it usially is. I never really printed from photoshop and i need to know how to start with the right size so i'll print it out correctly.
I was seaching everywhere and i can't get exact answer, who ever is familiar with this can you please show me some links or explain me how it works.

Ideally you want the document size to be the exact printed size you need. The resolution should be set to 300dpi (which makes a very large file). It should print fine from there.

There is an option when you create a new document (Ctrl+N - windows) youll see a bar that says Preset Sizes scroll down that list and choose for you (Letter) thatll make an 8.5 x 11 300dpi (normal print quality resolution) and then design from there. hope that helps you. |
