Hi... completely frustrated here.

I am running both CS and CS2 on a mac OS X. I have been trying to type text with horrible results. I have tried everything from 72 ppi to 300 ppi along with all anti-aliasing from None, Smooth, Crisp, Strong, etc.... I have tried all kinds of fonts and they all come out horrible. I then opened Illustrator and type the same text..... oh how sweet... . all the text was so crystal crisp - but I can't do my design there.. I need PS.. Can anyone help me??? Please???

If your canvas isn't large enough say, 300 by 300 pix, there won't be enough pixels for the text to look good. The reason that the text looks so good in illustrator is because that program uses vector graphics which don't use pixels. They use mathematically calculated lines so that you can zoom in without loosing any quality.

The only suggestion I can make at this time is to double or triple your canvas size. Then when you rasterize your text, it should look alot better.

If this doesn't help, post some screenshots of what it looks like so we can help you better.

or open the .psd file in illustrator without the text, and add the text through illustrator??
