I have been using PSE 2.0 for a long time but recently purchased Creative Suite 2.
I had an older version of Photoshop but always used PSE for its ease of use. Now I have decided to bite the bullet and learn to use the full version.
What I really want to do is create a comic book style graphic from a photgraph. I have been using Illustrator and like the Live Trace and Live Paint feature. The problem I run into is that the photo I bring into Illustrator has too many gaps for the gap detection to close.
Is there a better way to make the photo into line art? I have used several different filters, then use Levels to contrast the midtones out.
Any help you can give me is welcome.
