My problem is that when I am in Photoshop, all the colors are darker and more saturated. but when I save the file, it gets all light and not how I wanted it. Just to let you know, I am running CS2. Any other info someone needs to maybe help me out with this problem, I can provide. Thanks

Here is a pic of what photoshop saved.

And here is a screenshot of what photoshop is showing me that I saved in paint.

Much more full of color. This is what I wanted. I also might add that when I load pictures they are darker than when I open them out of photoshop. For some reason it just makes everything darker when in photoshop.

Thanks for any help.

ok maby it has to do with that type of file you are saving it as..

try saving it to a bunch of diffrent file types like .TIFF, .GIF and so on

ne way hope this helps.

well it's not when I save it. When I pull anything into photoshop, it is darker. Like when I take a screenshot and just paste it into a new document, it is darker than the original. Bawling I want my photoshop to work.

Try to configure Photoshop with Adobe Gamma in your control panel if you have not already. That may help. Also maybe saving the files as .psd (photoshop files)

The problem isn't saving the file. The saved file turns out with the correct colors (I print screen, paste in photoshop. it is dark. when I save and open the file out of photoshop, it is perfect). My problem is I can't edit any of the pictures because when I save them they won't be the same as they lookes in photoshop. It is not a problem with how I save it, it is a problem with the colors that photoshop is displaying for me.

out of curiosity when you go to View > Proof Setup whats the option that is checked?

and when you go to Edit > Color Settings... what option is checked

a print screen of both those options would be helpful.
