Hi I'm new to the boards and PSCS2 and would like some help out with blending issues
As you can see from the link below I tried to make a banner for my board. Unfortuanatly as you can see it still has the square out line instead of blending into the background. How can I fix this?
BLENDING PROBLEM
As well this is kinda related. From the pic above you can see I used the rounded rectangle tool. When I save this though it too always has the square background. All I want is the nice rounded look saved.Again how does this work?
Thanks for your time and advice.[/url]

Instead of a colored background for the text, I would do the following.
Open up the sky background in CS2, select all (Ctrl+A), and choose "Define Pattern..." from the Edit menu.
Move the text only to a transparent background the dimentions of the banner, make a new transparent layer under the text layer and fill with white.
Double-click on the white background layer to bring up the Layer Style menu and navigate to Pattern Overlay in the left menu. With the Blend mode set to Normal and opacity at 100%, you should be able to click on the pattern box and see your new pattern (the sky background). Choose it and Scale to 100%, and hit "Snap to Origin".
The new banner, after you save to .jpeg, should blend well with the page.
Hope that helps!

I'm still confused as to how to get the text to the transparent backgroud but the other stuff is pretty straight forward.
