I have an image that I would like to cut the bg out of. But using the lasso tool, and other methods leaves an unclean cut and jagged edges, any advice?

the image is here:

thanks,

I would use the pen tool, then make it a selection with 1 pixel feather..That's how I do it..

You can also feather with the lasso tool..But the pen tool is so much more accurate..

The pen would probably be the best but if you wanted you could try the "color range" It would take out the gray in a heart beat, even the background eraser or magic eraser would probably do it.

I might be shunned by saying this but.
Took me roughly 10 min to do it with the
Eraser tool.
Personaly one of my favorite tools.

Jiteye I'm right with you.
If I know what I want and I need it done fast right clean the first time...Duplicate and the eraser it is.
Shift+click eraser, live and die by it.
