Photoshop v Illustrator

Hello, I am researching the differences between Photoshop and Illustrator and would like your feedback. Could you please answer the questions below?

Which program do you prefer and Why?

What are their different purposes and uses?

What is the advantages and disadvantages of each?

Which is easier to work with?

Illustrator is a vector editor, while
Photoshop is a Bitmap editor

Vector editors are better for design and layout, typography, logos, technical illustrations, diagramming and flowcharting, while bitmap editors are more suitable for retouching, photo processing, and artistic illustrations.

So which is better depends on what you are doing.
PS and Illustrator each borrow features from the other to make workflow easier however the two are very distinctly different.
