Do you have Adobe ImageReady as well? Because I know ImageReady can make animated gifs, but I'm not sure about Photoshop. But anyway, I'm guessing the effect you're talking about is where the background fades from color to color, or does it just flash? Should be pretty simple. I don't do too many animations so I can't offer too much help but ... check in the Adobe help section on keyframes and tweening. You'll probably find something that'll help you out. I vaguely remember creating an animated gif in Photoshop a few months ago. Just read all about animation and all that and you'll find something (in the help, I mean). Then again, you can just wait for a reply from someone else who knows more about this animation stuff.

Photoshop is to make the layers in further details. Then you click the transfer IR [imageready] button and it moves it over there. Once you're ready, you can arrange the film to make certain layers to be visible and invisible during specific times. So you could say photoshop does animation. Anime or animation? In my point of view, anime is just a cartoon like thing. Animation though, I say it is anime that moves. err.. I'm not interesting in anything like that so i don't know. But in Image Ready, there aren't as much brushes and advantages as photoshop. So using photoshop to make details and than ImageReady to make Animation.

and Yes it is possible to make that image from photoshop. My cousin's friend knows how and she is awesome at it but she speaks chinese and I can't all that much. I only speak chinese but can't type chinese. And my cousin's friend doesn't know how to type english!!!!! But yea, you can make that image from ps [photoshop]

Just for your information, manga is a Japanese-style comic, and anime is a Japanese animated series, usually based on a manga. It has nothing to do with the meaning of the word 'animation'. Anime just constitutes animation, anime does not mean 'animation'.

Okay....

I just wanted to say that In my mind i have two different versions of Anime. One that is moving and one type that is not.

Anime - Angel
anime - Argue

Some moves and some doesn't. But anyhow you like to say. it's not the main point. The point is you can make the image from Photoshop. And the second point is Photoshop can make anime. [no need to specificly mention the correct name of movable anime or stiff anime]. Just that if for the movable types, it's for details instead.

Oh, never mind. You're right. Anime can also be used for animation created by computer software (looked it up on Google since I was curious). I had just never heard that usage before...
