Hey all...New Here...I'm having issues lol

I recently upgraded from photoshop 7 (i think, can't remember, but it was an old version) to CS2...The problem I'm having is that when I create an image that's, say, 2"x5", it doesn't show up as that size...it shows up as just HUGE in CS2...and when I saw as a jpeg or gif it does the same thing...a 2x5 inch image shows up wider than my screen (I'm running at 1280x800 rez). Any idea's on how to fix this? It's really annoying coz I made name tags for a website and I have to add a new one (In my idiocy i forgot to save the psd) and now I can't create a name tag the same size as the others. Thanks for all your help guys!

I'm guessing it's the ppi (pixles per inch) if I remember rightly PS6 used to default to 72 with a new canvas, but I think CS2 defaults to 300, if it's for the web check if it's 72 or not. Wayne

Don't you just love it when they change things! lol, my personal grip is when they removed the link icon from the layers palette, I know you can still link but I can't for the life of me see what they gained by removing it!
sulk sulk!! lol Wayne
