for vert size, it'd be like...
(a4)-(borderx2)-(topframex3)-(bottomframex3)-(spacebetweenframesx3)
and then divide that whole thing by 3. Then you know how tall a each pic is. Then you can start adding guides by just adding them by typing in the correct value. that will be a lot quicker than dragging them precisely. So...
drag first guide to page border width
second guide to border width plus top frame width.
next guide add image height (which you derived (don't drink and derive) from my first "formuila") to the second guides height
next time add on the bottom frame height
then add the space between images..
