The easiest way is with the 'Line' tool.
Holding 'shift' while you draw your line will keep it straight . |

I guess I use the path tool... click the mouse at the beginning and the end. I want to fill color in below this line...
How do I do that? |

Or you can use the brush tool and make a first dot then hold the shift key down and drag the mouse in the direction you want the line.

Since I have you here... (the experts).... how do I fill in below the line that I draw??
For instance, I draw the line halfway up a page and then want to fill in a color from the halfway mark (the line) to the bottom...??
Thanks. |

If the line goes from end to end just use the paint tool. if the line does not go from end to end (has gaps) make a rectangule selection the size you want to filled and use the paint tool.

or use a shape.
don't rateize the shape.
That way you can always
increase/decrease size as needed. |
