Monitor dilema! I have been using dual 21" CRT monitors for years and my eyes cant take it any more. I want to switch to LCD monitors however I am not sure about detail / clarity. I work on Photoshop 8 hours a day so I need the monitor quality. I am comparing a Dell FPD2185W and a LG 203WTX. Too hard to really see detail in the stores. If anyone has any input as to the best quality or sharpest LCD monitors to consider for Photoshop I would shure appreciate it.
Thanks.

I recently bought 3 19" Dell LCDs and I have been happy with them. I don't use Photoshop, but I do use Fireworks regularly.

Fireworks is supprisingly similar in many ways to Photoshop (I think the blur tools better) even the layout is similar-ish. It's part of Macormedia studio (or a stand alone as well?) I have it as part of studio.
The software people use tends to depend on the work they do, when I got it my brother was using my computer for a lot of web design etc.
It will be interesting to see what happens now the two companys are joining forces. (or were last I heard)

3 LCDs is mainly for productivity. Like, right now. On the left monitor, I have Winamp and a chat window open. In the center, I have this page, full screen. With a post that I had to remove ready for me to take care of minimized as well as the PF homepage. On the right, I have a window minimized and my e-mail open. My e-mail stays open on the right screen all day. I was skeptical, as well. But, the ability to leave things open and not minimize them, etc. makes life easier. You can read from the left and type in the center and keep those chat windows over on the other one, glancing at them as required. It works well.

Oh, the irony! Big Grin Yeah, I've never really used Photoshop. A nice user here sent me a (yes, legal) copy of Photoshop Elements which I have used a handful of times, but I have Fireworks 8 and I like it. :)
