for a school project i had to come up with a design using the title "alien abduction". i had to use pictures to make a background, use several of the effects learned in the class...and be creative of course...well everything but the UFO is a picture (not lightning of course) and i drew the space ship. although i hate doing cologes, i was happy with the compositing. i could use a little more motion blur on the UFO but i have to get up early so ill think about that later. anyway what do you think?

here is the concept for the ufo

and here is the QUICK drawing of the layout, color, design idea i had...of course you cant plan things perfect...so things changed a little

Pretty cool. The trees do look a little funny, but overall, it looks good. I like the concept art as well. :)

hey thanks man! My favorite thing to do in any sort of digital painting, or photo editing, manipulation is add all those little details that hopfully you dont notice at first. but after a while you see that the shoe laces are a bit frayed, or the reflection of the fingers on the drinking glass...etc i think if you get get people to notice more and more things in your art everytime they look at it it is a success...of course the noticeable things cant be mistakes.
im not saying this is a great peice of art, but in general its fun to work on the little stuff.
