i am having a problem with my photoshop cs2. this just started earlier today. i can create a text box, but when i go to type, nothing happens - it won't let me type anything. i have tried resetting the tools, clearing preferences and uninstalling, and reinstalling. nothing helps. it is like my keyboard wont work in photoshop. please help, as i have several projects in need of completion. thanks.

Does the keyboard work ok otherwise?. Try creating a new blank document 10x8 300dpi then just click on the document and (after checking your on the normal horizontal type tool) type in your name in times font at 30 points, it wont be very big but big enough to see ok. Let us know if this works or not. Wayne

Did you try my suggestion as a test? also try holding down CTRL+shift+alt as soon as photoshop starts to load when you open it, thsi resets the preferences and often fixes odd problems (uninstalling doesn't do this strangly) I'm assuming you not working with a selection open? can you show us a screen shot of whats going on showing the layers pallette as well as the working image so we can see whats going on and maybe get an idea. Tell me how to turn the type masking on and off. Maybe that is it.
