Hey I have installed a package over 6 thousand fonts and it causes my photoshop to freeze up.... I reduced the number to like 100 and it was still really slow.... what do you recommend on doing with fonts?? I would like to be able to have a wide variety of fonts.. but I just keep running into problems, is there some sort of easy program out that allows you to organize all your fonts.. or what do you think i should do... i wish i could have all of my fonts work like normal in my photoshop but noooooooooope.... not happenin...

someone please help me

Thanks,

Elliot Pollaro

There are font managers around, I haven't tried any so I'm not the best person to advise on this.
I have around 2000 fonts and my photoshop loads fairly quickly, could it be something else? do you have enough ram, you don't say which version of Photoshop you have but I know CS2 need more ram than the earlier versions to run well.

It might be worth running a virus scan as well, especially if you downloaded loads of free fonts

You don't have to install all those fonts..I have folders in my documents and on my desk top with fonts..When I want to use one, I just open it up and minimize it..Then open Photoshop, psp, email, and that font is on the list while it is minimized..

I have a font finder, and is a big help in looking for the font I want, and you can also temporarily install fonts that way too..
