Photoshop closes when creating or opening a new document.

When I try to create a new document or open an existing one in either ps 7 or CS, it closes. This happens everytime.

Previously they were both saying "cannot create new document because of program error" but I deleted the preferences, and now they do this...

please help!
I've re-installed CS twice now.

When I try photoshop in another account it does the "could not create a new document because of program error" message.

I have a 1.33 GHZ PowerPC G$, 512 Ram, OS X version 10.4.6

Photoshop used to work fine, and then one day randomly had the error message, and now closes when i create or open documents.

Well you trashed the prefs, so it's not that, it's interesting that it wont work in both versions because theres not any shared files that I know of, they seem to install totally seperatly.
I know there have been some issues with OSX but why it would just stop working I haven't a clue.
I'd be tempted to uninstall, run a search for adobe and photoshop and remove any of those files it left behind, and try a fresh install, and hope you removed the problem.
