How can I install filters in a MAC?

Hi! I have a friend that has asked me how to use his Photoshop's filters from a PC to a MAC (using Photoshop for MAC of course).

I have read that in a PC it is only needed to copy the filters (I think .dll) in a folter in the installation path. But are these filters also compatible with Photoshop's MAC version?

In case they are, how can I copy or install my filters from photoshop (PC) to my other photoshop (MAC)?

In case they are not compatible, where can I find filters for my photoshop (MAC)?
