|
|
My company has asked me to create a new logo for use in our web apps. Well, I used Photoshop to create the psd, then saved it as a png file, with a tranparent background. After saving it, I put it on my server and viewed it on a test page. Unfortunately, no matter what I do in Photoshop, there is a background showing. Basically, there are two layers
1) for the graphic-main body of the image.
2. Text above the image.
Would anyone be kind enough to help me out on this? If you reply, I will send out a link to my site for viewing. |

From my experience, a png puts a light blue background on an image when it's downloaded to a site..But it opens in PS and psp with a transparent background..
If this is your problem, you'll have to save it as something else instead of png..Can you merge the layers, and put them on a white background?
You could also make the background the same color as where you're putting it..
If it has to be transparent, you can save for the web, but there are optimization settings that I'm not sure of..
Someone will be along to help you further.. _________________ and the wisdom to know the difference... |

Bert Monroy told me that if you want to save an image that uses transparency, you MUST save it as a .gif file no matter what browser you are using. NO OTHER FILE FORMAT will save a file as transparent (other than Photoshop's .psd of coarse). ;-)
