hi,

i've already done the search through these forums and it seems that the general consensus to adding and saving a transparent background is to make the appropriate changes and save as a .png or .gif file.

i have here a .tga file with a transparent background:

http://rapidshare.de/files/21662459/Warrior.tga.html

my problem is this. when i open the file and re-save it as another .tga it saves with a white instead of transparent background. i need to be able to save this as a .tga document. can anyone help me? thanks.

I just tried this, I saved as, typed in another name clicked the save as copy box and it saved no problems, I'm assuming the transparent part is the box around the circle in in the square? Check your not compressing and save as 32 bit maybe thats the problem? Wayne
