Occasionally I have this issue with my colors in photoshop-- they all shift and have this blue-ish, purple-ish tint. The CMYK sliders are all strange (K has blue in it...)
All my files open an appear in this weird color context. It is definitely within photoshop b/c all the icons and other programs appear correctly.
I've played around with color settings-- i don't really know what im doing there.
any thoughts? |

So when I have 2 monitors hooked up to my PC, the color shows fine on my CRT and shows up strange (as I desribed before) on my LCD. I currently only have the the LCD right now which has forced me to deal with the issue
(usually I just use photoshop on the CRT b/c there's no color issues there).
So it seems like maybe this LCD monitor is not compatible with the color settings or something. Does anyone know anything about that?
I'm stuck, let me know if you've got an answer.
many thanks |

yeah it is puzzling... as I have been attempting to still get some work done today I find that:
If I swith my RGB mode to "Monitor-RGB" (in Edit->Color Settings) I can open up files that were originally created in an RGB color profile and work okay.
Files originally created in CMYK are consistently plaqued by the blue-purple weirdness. (makes sense b/c I haven't done anything to alter CMYK settings).
If I switch my RGB mode back to its usual "SRGB- IE61966"-- all the colors go back to being messed up.

Have you ran adobe gamma EACH time you have changed your monitors? Adobe gamma can be found in the control panel in windows I have no idea where to find it on the mac. It maybe under a simlar setting as control panel would be my guess??? _________________ Qubert |
