I am trying to make paper cd cases and I have made a cut-out/print-out version of it on photoshop cs2. I, however, am not sure at what size to print it out at. This may sound dumb, but I just held the cd up the the computer screen to see if it would be the right size and according to the screen it is, but not when I print it out.
here is the file.

Sadly I doubt the size will be right, your monitor is probably not showing the exact size it will print at, to get an idea, with the pic open press CTRL+R to get a ruler up (same to get rid of it after) and compare it to an actual ruler, but also check your viewing the image at actual size (100%) Wayne |

if you want your images to sharp and clear - be sure to set your DPI at 300 for print. that will make your canvas size a lot bigger as well. most web images are set at 72dpi (dots per inch) and when you print them, they will be grainy and low resolution.
also - you can find free .psd templates online for stuff like this as well.
you adjust your dpi and canvas size by going to Image > Image Size and
Image > Canvas size |
