hello -

i am having issues with my clone stamp. it just does NOT work! i alt-click to assign the area and then click where i want it to cover, and NOTHING happens. I use CS at work and v6.0 at home. v6 works fine and, at work, CS doesnt work.

is this a bug with CS ? or are the techniques different between v6 and CS in using the rubber stamp/clone stamp.

what should i do? i have removed and reformatted my preferences.

thanks
ellare

try setting your brush to normal blend mode. NOT the layers blend mode but the brush blend mode at the top menu in photoshop and see if that does the trick. You may have accidently changed the brush blending mode. and make sure your brush opactiy is at 100% it is on the same menu as the brush blend mode but a little bit to the right.

you've probably tried this, but if not check to see if you have the caps lock on. you can't use the clone tool when you're set for capital leters. (dunno why, but it's true) boyd
