the "crisp and clean" is simply inherent in the method I used. I used masks on mine, but the efect is visuaklly the same as if I had:
typed out the text,
selected a letter,
inverted my selection,
then pressed delete on the layer of the photograph.
Most of what you'd need to know about masks can actually be learned in photoshop's help. The reason why mine may look crisper or cleaner is because my text as created with anti-aliasing. A msk made directly from this text therefore also has good anti-aliasing and the final result will not show rough pixely outlines. I hope this explains well enough.... feel free to reply again if not
It really is a good idea to familiarize yourself with masks. they are tremendously useful, and will severely cut the time necessary to make little adjustments to your image after it's basically done. They allow you to work quickly to get the jist of it, then go back and perfect without losing any image quality. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth
